General

Can I add or remove items from my order?

You can always add items to your order. The item/s will ship separately if the rest of your order has already been processed.

If you need to remove anything from your order please email us at hello@barbellstandard.com, or just reply to your order confirmation email. We will be happy to cancel anything that hasn't already been shipped.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders that have not been processed can be cancelled, but we can't guarantee that a processed order can be cancelled if the delivery is too far along.

When are orders processed?

All orders ship within one business day, and orders placed by 10AM ET are processed on the same day. Tracking links are sent by email by the end of the day and your packages will arrive within 2-4 days.

I don't see an order confirmation email, what happened?

If you don't see an order confirmation email in your inbox, be sure to check your spam folder and wait a minute or two. If you still don't see a confirmation email then it almost certainly means that the order didn't go through.

How can I make a suggestion about your products or website?

Your suggestions are always welcome by email at suggestions@barbellstandard.com. We're always ready to hear your ideas, in fact many of your suggestions have been put in place over the years.

What are your customer service hours?

Our email customer support team is based in ET timezone and we start responding to your emails at 6am. New requests received after 2pm ET will receive a response in the morning on the next business day.

Do you donate equipment to schools or nonprofit programs?

We review donation requests from schools, youth sports programs, community organizations, and nonprofits. We donate product, not cash, and we do not run a grant program with an application cycle. Submit the form on our partnerships and donations page. We read every submission within 1-2 business days.

How do I pitch a social media partnership?

Creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook can pitch sponsored content, product for content, or an ongoing partnership. Use the form on our partnerships and donations page and include your handles and links to recent work. We read every submission within 1-2 business days.

Products and Warranties

Where do you manufacture your products?

Just like the other big USA owned and operated fitness companies, we manufacture our products wherever we can create the best possible products with the best possible prices for our customers. In some cases this is right here in the US, for others that means Mexico, and for the majority of products that means China.

All of our products are designed and engineered here in the USA by Americans that are committed to our mission of making home fitness accessible to everyone in America. Once a product is ready for production we begin the process of testing multiple factories to identify who is both capable and committed to delivering the exacting standards that we require.

We are continuously visiting factories around the world to identify manufacturers with the combination of consistent high quality and prices that allow us to continue to earn our reputation as the best value in home fitness.

Are the products I want to buy in stock?

Products that are out of stock will be clearly labelled on the website before you order. We are consistently at full product availability on our core product lines, but if you ever have doubts you can always give us a call at 888 979 0382 or shoot an email to hello@barbellstandard.com.

What are the warranties for weight plates?

Iron plates carry a lifetime warranty for home use and 10 years for commercial use. Bumper plates carry 3 years on the 25lb and 45lb plates, and 6 months on the 10lb plates. The full terms are on our warranty page.

What are your warranties for Barbells and Specialty Bars?

Coverage runs from 5 to 15 years depending on the bar. The Barbell 2000 carries 15 years, the Barbell 1500 carries 10 years, and the Barbell 1000 carries 5 years. All three are covered against bends and breaks. Our specialty bars carry 10 years. That covers the EZ Curl Bar, Loadable Dumbbell Bars, Olympic Hex Bar, Hex Bar 2.0 and the Swiss Multigrip Barbell. Bronze bushings and sealed needle bearings carry 5 years. Every term and what it covers is on our warranty page.

Are bushings and bearings covered by the bar warranty?

They carry their own term. Bronze bushings and sealed needle bearings are warrantied 5 years against defects in material, functionality and workmanship. The bar itself carries its full term against bends and breaks. The Barbell 1500 carries 10 years, for example. More detail is on our warranty page.

What warranty comes with my rack, bench or accessories?

The Three-Tier Dumbbell Rack carries a lifetime warranty against weld and structural defects. The Weight Tree and the Competition Flat Weight Bench carry 10 years. Drop pads, the Plyo Box and magnetic collars carry 2 years. Gym mats, resistance bands, the barbell pad and our other collars carry 1 year. The full list is on our warranty page.

Do your bars come with collars or straps?

Yes. Every Barbell Standard barbell and hex bar ships with free weightlifting straps and spring collars. EZ curl bars and loadable dumbbell bars ship with spring collars.

Discounts and Pricing

Do you offer a Military, First Responder, or Teacher discount?

Yes. We offer 5% off, through our verification partner GOVX. It covers active duty and veterans, military spouses and dependents, firefighters, police, healthcare workers, government employees, and K-12 and university teachers and staff. Verify once with GOVX and your code is issued right away.

How do I get my GOVX discount code?

Go to our Military, First Responder, and Teacher discount page, verify your status with GOVX, and you'll get a code to enter at checkout. Verification is handled by GOVX, not by us. We never see your service documents or ID.

Can I combine the GOVX discount with other discounts?

No. The GOVX code can't be combined with other discount codes. It does apply to our on-site sale prices.

Can I apply a discount code after the order is placed?

Of course! Send us an email, either as a reply to your order confirmation email or to hello@barbellstandard.com with your order number. Provide the discount code that you forgot to use and we'll apply a credit to your account for the amount of the unused discount code.

I already placed my order. Can I still get the discount?

Yes, if your order was placed within the last 30 days. Email hello@barbellstandard.com and we'll take care of it.

Do you offer price matching?

Yes. We will match any price on a comparable product backed by comparable quality and satisfaction guarantees.


Compare carefully. Some companies advertise a lower price and add large shipping fees at checkout. Some sell a lower quality product without guarantees behind it. Some accept returns but charge up to 50% of the purchase price in return shipping and restocking fees.


We watch the market closely, and if you find a better deal that we missed, send it over and we will match it.

Can I be reimbursed if I buy something that goes on sale later?

Absolutely!

We all know the feeling of pulling the trigger on a big purchase only to later see a sale price lower than we paid. That's why we offer reimbursements if anything you purchase goes on sale for a lower price within 30 days. Just send us an email with your order number and the item you purchased and we'll reimburse you with store credit for the difference between what you paid and the new lower sale price.

Shipping

How much is shipping?

All orders ship free anywhere in the contiguous United States.

How long does it take for my items to ship?

Everything ships out within one business day, and on the same business day for orders received by 10AM ET. Tracking links are sent to you by email. Packages typically arrive in 2 to 4 days.

How do I track my order?

If you created an account when you placed your order, log in and visit our tracking page. If you checked out as a guest, search your email for "Track your order from Barbell Standard" and follow the link. You can also get in touch and we will give you an update.

How heavy are the packages?

We never combine more than 65lb into a single package, no matter how much weight you order.

Is shipping still free for large orders?

All orders ship free. Orders over 900lb may arrive on a scheduled dedicated truck with a lift-gate.

Do you ship to Alaska and Hawaii?

We ship only within the contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

No. Our equipment is heavy and oversized, and the carriers who handle it deliver only to physical street addresses. Please give us a street address at checkout.

Can I pick up my order instead?

Yes. You can pick up at our California warehouse in Commerce. Place your order online and we will refund 10% after you pick it up, or email us for a discounted order form. Email hello@barbellstandard.com or call (888) 979-0382 to schedule.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

Email us a photo of the damaged item and its packaging. We will send a replacement, issue store credit, or refund part of your order, whichever you prefer. There is no cost to you.

What happens if my package never arrives?

Contact us and we will trace the package with the carrier. They may call or email you during the search, so please answer them. We replace anything that is not found, at no cost to you.

What happens if part of my order does not arrive on time?

If most of your order arrived but one package is missing, check your tracking information for an expected delivery date. Most delayed packages arrive the next day. Get in touch if that does not solve it and we will send a reshipment or replacement.

An item is missing from my order. What do I do?

Contact us with your order number and tell us what is missing. We will check the order and send the item if it is confirmed missing.

Returns

What are 30-Day Hassle-Free Returns?

You have 30 days from the day your item arrives to start a return, for any reason. We send you a prepaid shipping label, so you do not have to arrange return shipping yourself. Keep all original packaging and contact us as soon as you decide.

Can I return my order for any reason?

Yes. Return unused equipment in its original packaging within 30 days of receiving your item. Returns due to a product quality issue receive a full refund at no cost to you. Returns for any other reason receive a full refund within one business day of the item being received at our warehouse, minus the actual cost of return shipping (10-20% of the total cost). We don't charge restocking, handling, or any other fees for your return.

How do I start a return?

Get in touch with your order number and tell us what you would like to do. We send you a prepaid shipping label to print. Your return arrives at our warehouse. We then issue your refund, replacement, or exchange.

How soon do I receive the refund or exchange?

We issue refunds within one business day of your return being received at our warehouse. How long the funds take to post depends on your financial institution. Replacements ship once your return reaches our warehouse and arrive just as fast as your original order.

E-Gift Cards

How do Barbell Standard e-gift cards work?

Choose $25, $50, $100 or $200 and check out like any other order. We email an e-gift card code that can be used on anything at barbellstandard.com.

Do your e-gift cards expire?

No. Just like our plates, our e-gift cards never expire.

Can I send an e-gift card to someone else on a specific date?

Yes. On the e-gift card page, check "I want to send this as a gift," then add the recipient's name, email, a short message and a send date. We email the e-gift card straight to them on that date, and you get a receipt. If you do not pick a date, it is sent right after checkout.

How do I use my e-gift card?

Enter the code at checkout on barbellstandard.com. It works with discount codes and during sales. If your order costs less than the card, the rest of the balance stays on it for next time.

E-gift cards can only be used on barbellstandard.com, not on Amazon or other stores.

How do I check my e-gift card balance?

Open your e-gift card email and click "View gift card balance." The page shows your code and what is left on the card.

Can e-gift cards be refunded or returned?

No. E-gift cards cannot be refunded. If you return an order that you paid for with an e-gift card, the amount you paid with the card goes back onto it.

I cannot find my e-gift card email. What should I do?

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it is not there, contact us at hello@barbellstandard.com and we will resend it.
